Ministers and Heads of Delegations of the Central Asian countries, the European Union and of EU Member States responsible for the environment, climate change and water policies met for the Sixth EU Central Asia High Level Conference organised under the EU–Central Asia Platform for Environment and Water Cooperation. The Conference presented the results of the activities of the Platform since 2015, identified ways to promote investment in infrastructure to mitigate climate change, reduce pollution and to promote green and circular economy in the region.
The parties agreed that the EU–CA Platform for Environment and Water Cooperation should continue to cover the following priority areas: environmental governance, circular economy, sustainable consumption and production, climate change (adaptation and mitigation), integrated and water resources management.
